I have nothing really to add to today’s Metro tragedy, other than my first two thoughts were actually “I’m glad I’m not at work today” and “I wonder how Why I Hate D.C. is going to cover this.”
Then the horror really kind of stuck in, and now, hearing more about it, I’m feeling lucky.
On Mondays I usually don’t work, and I was running an errand downtown today. As I was heading home around 4 or so, my train was stopped at the Van Ness station, because a train was stopped at the Tenleytown station. Now, it sounds like one train was stopped and struck by another.
Also, Chris Matthews proved how distant he is from a normal person today. At the top of Hardball, the only way Matthews could describe Metro was clean, and with an small crime rate. Again and again. Yes, Metro is pretty clean, but it’s not the first descriptor that comes to mind.
